Country House

This large country house was built in 2002, on 11.350 m2 own grounds, by the famous French architect Maurice Pinkele, who also designed and refurbished the nearby hotel restaurant Julien. The two-story building with 211 m2 of living space, provides magnificent views of the surroundings from all rooms, through floor to ceiling windows and doors to the large terrace.

It further has a master-bedroom upstairs with its own en-suite bathroom, separate toilet, 2 smaller bedrooms and an office area with all facilities on the mezzanine overlooking the living area.

Downstairs you will find besides the living room, a large open kitchen, two other bedrooms, a bathroom, guest cloakroom and the utility room. The living area and open kitchen has under-floor heating, as well as two large new air-conditioning units (2016), providing pleasant temperatures within minutes, both in the summer and winter.

The living room

The large beamed-ceiling living and dining room (45,5m2) provides magnificent views of the surroundings, with 3 sliding doors opening onto the terrace to the back and side of the house. It has Italian ceramic floor tiles and a “Richard Le Droff” wood-burning open fire with a glass enclosure.

All rooms at the back of the house, looking down to the valley, have electric vanishing blinds. The blinds on the front of the house are manually operated. The whole house is provided with an electric ventilation system.

The 5 (wall-mounted) Dolby Surround Sound system speakers ensure perfect sound in the living room, while the two external all-weather Bose loudspeakers provide beautiful sound on the terrace.

The open kitchen

The Schmidt kitchen units house the built-in fridge/freezer, the dishwasher, the electric oven and the electric ceramic cooker with 6 pits, with plenty of storage room.

It further has a large American style 2nd fridge/freezer with cold water and ice dispenser.

The kitchen further houses the dining area and table, together covering more than 31 m2.

The bedrooms downstairs

The two bedrooms downstairs (respectively 16,5 and 13,5 m2) have floor to ceiling sliding glass doors to the adjoining terrace and offer equally beautiful views of the surrounding. Each room has further its own built-in closet.

The bathroom downstairs

The large bathroom downstairs (8,5m2) houses the shower, the toilet, the urinoir, the wash basin and a built-in closet. Separately, there is another toilet with wash basin, adjacent to the cloakroom (accessible from the hallway).

The utility room

In the utility room you will find the main electric switchboard, the hot water boiler, the washing machine and the dryer, as well as the sink.

The master bedroom

The master bedroom upstairs (24m2) has double glass doors to its own balcony overlooking the surrounding with its brand new wooden-beam balustrade in local style. It further has two built-in closets each with double sliding doors with mirrors on the outside.

The en-suite bathroom

The large en-suite bathroom (10,5m2) houses the bathtub, the shower, the urinoir, the double washbasins, double high windows as well as the separate toilet.

The two other bedrooms upstairs

Two other bedrooms (respectively 17 and 18,3 m2) can be found upstairs as well. These bedrooms are specially suited as children’s dormitories.

The mezzanine

The 30m2 large mezzanine, houses the office area with telephone, internet and fax connections, as well as the wifi installation. It has two windows, one looking down onto the swimming pool, the other to the mountains to the back of the house. The mezzanine looks down onto the living room through a wooden balustrade.
